Commemoration of Yitzhak Rabin
Each year the Yitzhak Rabin Center sponsors events and develops materials to be used on the official Memorial Day commemorating the life and legacy of slain Prime Minister Rabin. A series of special events begin in Israel in September and culminate with the Annual Memorial Rally in Rabin Square in November.Based on a different theme each year, the Ministry of Education distributes the Center’s educational materials to every school in Israel. Classes from kindergarten through 12th grade receive age appropriate experiential packages. In addition, a kit with a focus on social action and involvement is distributed to each unit in the Israeli Defense Forces.
Memorials to Yitzhak Rabin including monuments, squares, neighborhoods, boulevards, streets and other forms of tribute can be found in Israel, the United States and throughout the world, in recognition of his contributions and unique character.
