Museum

The Museum, which represents the core of the educational experience, will open in 2010. As the first museum depicting the history of modern Israel, it will be an important civics education resource for every child and adult throughout the country. It is expected that by 2012 the Museum will host over 160,000 foreign and domestic visitors each year.

Beginning in 1920’s, the life of Yitzhak Rabin is closely intertwined with Israel’s history. Using his life as a backdrop, museum exhibits will trace societal changes through the various periods in the nation’s history. It will probe the complex and multifaceted aspects of Israeli society with special emphasis on the dynamics that led to the assassination of an Israeli Prime Minister by a fellow Jew in 1995.
